RSWitch Profile 

RSWITCH is the National E-payment switch of Rwanda and driver of the smartcash brand enabling electronic payment settlements, interoperability and other financial solutions in Rwanda.

The company was established in 2003 with a vision to run Rwanda’s electronic payment system and has over the years expanded to serve as a financial interoperable solution company.

ABOUT SMARTCASH
SmartCash is RSwitch’s local scheme of debit cards currently issued by banks in Rwanda. Also being on boarded for the scheme are Micro Finance Institutions and SACCOs. With the SmartCash card, customers are able to make transactions on ATM, POS and online.

The Government of Rwanda’s Vision 2050 sets forth an objective to achieve the status of an upper middleincome country by 2035 and a high-income country by 2050.
